Do One Thing Differently: experiment of the week
Monday, February 1st, 2010I love experiments. Sometimes I wish I was back on the lab bench, poking away at test tubes. I worked in a lab in college, and one of my jobs was beheading rats so we could examine the cytochrome P450 in liver.
Cancel the lab fantasy!
Anyway, this week I will try and do ONE thing differently each day, and report back on it. I have a fair amount of meetings in my gig as Dr. EMR, but will try to work the new habit around that.
Here goes:
- Monday: use the phone more and email less if I can. I have more down time to call people than I do to email them.
- Tuesday: plan the day ahead of time.
- Wednesday: look for ways my assistant can do more for me.
- Thursday: investigate tweetdeck.
- Friday: Look at getjar.com for “efficiency apps” for my blackberry. (Yup, got rid of my tilt, switched to Verizon, and got a crackberry. What’s next? A business suit?!)
I’ll check in with the experiement results. How about an experiment of your own and you let me know how it goes?
