I've had great success with locum tenens staffing agencies, namely Global Medical in Salt Lake City. They've recruited locum doctors internationally and in the US for years and really dot their "i"s and cross their "t's". It's so much easier and not as expensive as you'd think. Their website is www.gmedical.com

Good luck!

Being a doctor, I love your take on this particular subject. Quite a lot of our customers talk about identical issues together with me, and it's stimulating that we're not the only ones who truly care!

Yes...but you don't have to make an appointment months in advance to see the therapist and then wait for over an hour in a waiting room for your 20 minute visit! You simply walk up, get your time, and walk away. Part of the problem is that, as a patient, your time is not seen as valuable either and your time with a physician is so limited that you try to cram it all in because it's too hard to get back in to talk about something else in a different 15 minute session! Perhaps more efficient physician offices would help, too.

Good post, we BTW use patientsurvey.com for keeping a tab on patient feedback. Works out well. Makes the staff also think twice about how they treat patients. Also, this is helping out to let go staff who are not doing a great job. What better way to document something than something that is provided to you by patients themselves. Plus, all staff wears a name tag just to make sure they know patients can see who the person is.

Also, doctors are now reviewing these every month as well. They get positive and negative feedback about how patients feel about their treatment at the hospital.

In the end only thing that matters is the patient care and preventative medicine.

Keep up the good work. Great content!!!

OMG, this is absolutely hitting the nail on the head. Everytime someone brings up "healthcare reform" I mention health incurance company reform. Every hospital has 15 different prices for every procedure based on what insurance you have. WHAT? If you have the "best" insurance you are guaranteed the hospital will "test" you for everything possible because they know your insurance company will pay without question.
    My son fell out of a tree last May from a branch that broke and fell 11 feet. After the subsequent ER, surgery for pins, and hospital say all of the sudden our insurance company had "questions". When I called I got the same thing...."What caused the accident?" My answer.... "Did you look at the hospital report, gravity?". They also didn't think I was very funny.
     I also love how every charge the Dr. charges you get repriced by the insurance company? WHAT? So this tells me if I paid cash for my healthcare I would be screwed....Something is wrong beyond anything the healthcare reform is "supposed" to fix.
    On to business now, I have a medical supply client interested in paying you for some exposure on your blog. This client, JRS Medical is open to informative guest posts, advertorials, tutorials, simple text advertisements, or even having you post a product review (for a small fee if needed) for the following types of terms at this time:

* needles & syringes
* medical supplies
* discount medical equipment
* Invacare (or names of other big brands in the medical industry)
etc.....

Let me know what options exist and if interested. We are also open to any other ideas you may have that work within your framework. Look forward to hearing back from you.
